Jean-Pierre to speak at the APWA Sustainability Conference

Energy Trust New Buildings Program

Tuesday, June 28, 2011
1:30:00 PM - 2:30:00 PM

Room Galleria North
The Energy Trust of Oregon is a third-party non-profit company that gives energy incentives (cash) to residential, commercial, industrial, public sector, and non-profit customers. Funded through a small charge on the investor-owned electric and natural gas companies, Energy Trust also offers outreach and technical assistance. In response to Oregon's new energy code, Energy Trust has developed enhancements to its program. As public works professionals are responsible for the specification, contracting, monitoring and inspection of public construction projects, insight into the Energy Trust's best practices and performance measures will be of great benefit to you.
Learning Objectives:
By attending this session, participants will be better able to:
  1. Identify potential energy-efficiency and renewable energy improvements that could be implemented by your agency.
  2. Select energy savings projects that will have an immediate effect on operating costs and bring a return on investment.
  3. Demonstrate your good stewardship of taxpayer dollars by adopting performance measures for your energy-efficiency strategies.

Outreach Manager, Energy Trust New Buildings Program, Portland, OR
Jean-Pierre Veillet
